Sergey Belyavsky will be performing a recital to prepare for the prestigious Concours de Genève music competition. He is one of nine semifinalists out of 182 candidates.

Biography

Born in Moscow into a family of musicians, Sergey Belyavsky began playing piano at age 5 and by 9 was accepted to the finest music school in Russia, “Central Music School” (CMS) at the Moscow State Conservatory. Sergey was only 11 when he won his first international competition and at the age of 12 he performed his first recital.

Since that his concert performances have spanned the globe. Already by age 25 Sergey has toured and performed in 28 different countries all over the world.

Since 2005, Sergey became a multiple prize winner of more than 30 competitions and festivals including Bronze Medal at GINA BACHAUER International Artists Competition, Salt Lake City, USA, Asia-Pacific International Fryderyk Chopin Piano Competition, Daegu, South Korea, winner of 2 special prizes for best Polonaise and Sonata performances, (no first awarded). Sergey is the winner of Second & Audience Prizes at FRANZ LISZT International Piano Competition, Budapest, Hungary as well as the winner of Second & Audience Prizes at MARIA CANALS International Piano Competition, Barcelona, Spain, Concorso Internazionale Valsesia Musica 2021, Varallo, Italy Third Prize Winner.

In March 2022 Sergey has participated in a very special event Ukraine Peace Benefit Concert, held in St. Paulus Church in Frankfurt am Main, organized by City of Frankfurt am Main and the International Piano Forum Frankfurt, condemning the Russian aggression in Ukraine.

Sergey has released three solo CDs, most recently of Chopin’s 24 Etudes.

Sergey graduated from the famed Moscow State “Tchaikovsky” Conservatory, while being in class of Prof. Elisso Virsaladze in 2016. For a year in 2016/17 Sergey traveled to Tel Aviv to study with Prof. Arie Vardi.

In the year 2021 Sergey graduated from the Kalaidos Music School Switzerland, obtaining the Master’s Degree, while honing the mastery of his art with Prof. Lev Natochenny.

Currently Sergey is studying at the Park University in Kansas City Missouri with Golden Prize Winner of the 11th Van Cliburn International Piano Competition Prof. Stanislav Ioudenitch.

Sergey Belyavsky has performed as a soloist as well as with internationally acclaimed symphony orchestras such as Utah Symphony Orchestra, Czech National Symphony Orchestra, Lviv Virtuosi Chamber Orchestra Ukraine, Space Coast Symphony Orchestra (Florida), Tchaikovsky Symphony Orchestra (Moscow), Israel Sinfonietta Beer-Sheva, Malta Philharmonic Orchestra, Orquestra Sinfonica del Valles (Barcelona), Georgian Chamber Orchestra Ingolstadt, Moscow State Symphony Orchestra, Szeged Symphony Orchestra (Hungary); Kazakhstan State Symphony Orchestra, MAV Symphony Orchestra (Hungary), Kharkiv Philharmonic Orchestra, Ukraine Budapest Symphony Orchestra of the Hungarian Radio etc.
