Iana Korzukhina was born in 1995 in the city of Arkhangelsk. Iana started studying the violin at the age of 9, then switched to viola at the age of 17.In 2013, she enrolled in St. Petersburg College named after Modest Mussorgsky in the class of Dmitry Yakubovsky. In 2022 she graduated with honors from the Saint Petersburg Conservatory named after Nikolai Rimsky-Korsakov, class of Honored Artist of Russia, Professor Vladimir Stopichev. Participated in various competitions as part of string and piano quartets during her studies. In addition to participating in chamber ensembles, she performs solo.
Laureate of international competitions, participant of master classes of such outstanding musicians as Herman Tsakulov, Yuri Bashmet, Pavel Romanenko, Yuri Afonkin, Vladislav Pesin, etc. She has performed at various concert venues in Russia and Europe. Since 2021, she has been an artist of the St. Petersburg State Academic Symphony Orchestra.
Awards as part of the Piano Quartet:
- Winners of the Grand Prix of the XI International Competition of instrumentalists and vocalists “Rising Stars 2020”, held in Riga (Latvia) as part of the festival “Days of Kazinik”. 2. Winners of the Grand Prix of the V International Competition of Young Performers “WHITE LYRE”, Belgorod, 2021.
- Winners of the I prize of the All-Russian festival-competition of ensemble music dedicated to the 250th anniversary of L. Van Beethoven, Ufa, 2020.
- Winners of the II prize of the Open City Competition of Chamber Ensembles dedicated to the 250th anniversary of the birth of Ludwig van Beethoven, St. Petersburg, 2021.
- Diploma holders of the XIV International Creative Youth Competition “Shabyt”, Nur-Sultan, Republic of Kazakhstan, 2021.
Awards as part of a string quartet:
- Winners of the II prize of the X International Competition named after S.I.Savshinsky, St. Petersburg, 2019.
- Winners of the II prize of the Vll Stockholm International Competition, 2019.
